What is the best mountain to ski over New Years? ?

I usually refrain form skiing over holidays but this year, the days New Years falls on is too tempting. There is only a three day work week, and any mountain time is better than staying at home and watching Dick Clark. I was thinking Park City, or Heavenly, I know the crowds will be horrible, but what is the less of the two evils (crowd wise) here? I want a good town to party at for New Years, big mountain, and the least traffic possible. Any better suggestions? Merci beaucoup, thanks, and all that other good stuff.

It’s all dependent on the conditions in that area at that time. I skied Northstar a few years back on New Years and it was in hip deep powder. The next year I tried the same place and it was boilerplate ice. Roll with the weatherman and choose your days wisely.

Go to Whistler, in BC or Fernie. They get so much snow and are great mountains.

If you want something thats higher level mountain and less crowds, go to kicking horse or revelstoke
